Data we collect
- Name, username, and email address
- Service address and its geo-coordinates (latitude / longitude)
- Pet status and garbage / yard waste pickup schedules
- Placement photos you upload and job-completion photos taken by your Tech (garbage staging areas only)
- Payment information — processed by Stripe and never stored on Curb Genie servers
- IP address — used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention, and deleted after 30 days
Why we collect it
To deliver and verify your service, process billing, send you service notifications, and keep neighbors and Techs safe. We do not use your data for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the processors that run Curb Genie: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage). We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
GDPR lawful basis
For users covered by the GDPR, we process personal data on the basis of performance of a contract (delivering the service you subscribed to) and legitimate interest (service safety, fraud and abuse prevention).
Your rights
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to deletion — request deletion of your account and data
- Right to portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Right to opt out — opt out of service emails by cancelling your subscription via /account/unsubscribe
CCPA (California): California residents have the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. Curb Genie does not sell personal information.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your subscription is active. Cancelled accounts — including profile data and all stored photos — are permanently deleted 90 days after cancellation.
Cookies
We use session cookies that are required to keep you signed in. With your consent we also use optional analytics cookies to improve the product; declining the cookie banner means analytics cookies are never set.
